Meloxidyl is supplied as a liquid to add to food. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug prescribed for dogs and cats primarily to treat musculoskeletal problems such as osteoarthritis. Meloxidyl reduces pain and inflammation in other conditions too, and can be prescribed for any condition where these properties are likely to be of benefit.
